My Very Own Apocalypse

Just what every little girl dreams of, right? A little over a year ago I was treated to my very own apocalypse, and I have survived to tell the tale, so far. The following are some of the highlights – if they can be called that – of my journey of soul-shattering destruction, unlikely survival, and rebuilding in the aftermath. (Note: These links will take you to the original posts on separate sites).

Part One: Getting Broken

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” -Maya Angelou

Chapter One: A Girl’s Story

Chapter Two: Happier Times

Chapter Three: Always Forward

Chapter Four: Oh, Was That Today?

Chapter Five: When All Around Has Fallen

Part Two: Adventure Therapy

“I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.” -Frodo Baggins

“So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” -Gandalf The Grey

Chapter Six: Takeoff

Chapter Seven: In-flight Wisdom Courtesy of Gandalf

Chapter Eight: From The Mountains…

Chapter Nine: …To The Sea

Chapter Ten: Sunset, Sunrise

Part Three: Apocalypse Survival Skills

“Even in a zombie apocalypse, there’s hope.” -Janelle Visser

Chapter Eleven: How To Survive a Marriage Apocalypse

Chapter Twelve: I’m Alive

Chapter Thirteen: New Game Plus

Chapter Fourteen: Soundtrack of a Life Apocalypse

Chapter Fifteen: One Year Later

I’ve been thinking about writing a book about all this, and many people have encouraged me to do so, but as I review these posts that somehow already perfectly fit into three sections of five chapters each… I think I already have? Let me know what you think.
